Grade Levels

Infants

Your baby will develop and learn more in his first year of life than at any other point. Each moment is intentionally planned in Creative Minds Learning Center infant program to ensure your baby will make the most of this period of rapid cognitive, emotional, and physical growth!
We understand that it is going to be difficult to leave your baby in someone else’s care. Our infant programs are designed to make the transition between home and school smooth and enjoyable for the whole family. Individualized schedules, loving, nurturing primary caregivers who will create a bond with your baby, and soft, safe classrooms will ensure your infant’s days are as enriching as if he was with you! There will be two teachers with six infants in our Infant program.

Toddler

Your toddler is going to change from a baby to a preschooler in a short amount of time. They are gaining and asserting independence- through milestones such as first steps, first words, drinking out of a cup, and potty-training. Creative Minds Learning Center will be your partner in supporting this growth.
Our passionate and energetic teachers will provide your toddler a consistent routine and schedule, filled with exploration and introduction to new experiences. Regardless of her developmental stage, each day will be filled with laughter, building self-sufficiency, books, and hands-on learning. The ratio is 1 teacher for every 4 students.

Early Learning Program

As they enter the early learning program in our two’s room, children become more and more curious. It’s that natural sense of curiosity that we use to teach them to learn and grow. Within our classroom your older toddler is free to be anything from an artist to an engineer. Playing pretend, learning games, participating in hands-on activities — these are just a few of the ways we keep kids engaged. But all these games and activities are done for a reason, encouraging

development in a number of key areas. They discover motor skill development during hands on activities, outdoor play, throwing, catching and music time. Their cognitive development is stretched and challenged by puzzles, games, recognizing shapes, numbers and colors. Language development is encouraged through reading, storytelling, puppet shows and of course our artistic development is encouraged through many art projects, easel painting, clay, construction projects and dramatic play.

Preschool

As a preschooler, your child is capable of increasingly complex tasks, learning, and thinking. Creative Minds Learning Center preschool classrooms will prepare your child to enter Kindergarten ready to learn and ready to succeed. Our Curriculum includes theme-based units incorporate language, pre-reading, pre-writing, math, science, social studies, creative arts, motor skills and social development in hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities.
Intentional, research-based themed curriculum is individualized for 3’s, 4’s and Pre-K’s specific learning goals. Teachers plan daily, customized small-group “Teaching Table” activities so all children can learn at their developmental and age-appropriate pace. The children will also participate in the EARLY SPROUTS gardening and nutrition curriculum, which will include gardening, cooking math and science.   All activities are linked to the California State Standards, NAEYC’s Developmentally Appropriate Practices, and the National Reading Panel and National Early Literacy Panel’s recommendations for early literacy.
