Creative Minds Learning Center’s curricula pieces will come from “The Creative Teaching Program”, “Houghton Mifflin Pre-Kindergarten Program” and “Early Sprouts Educational Curriculum”. The Houghton Mifflin Curriculum is an in-depth program that provides children with the foundational skills they need to succeed as lifelong learners. Each day will consist of centers, formal learning time, outside time and circle time which will include stories, music and sharing. This is an age-appropriate hands-on curriculum based on scientific research and aligned with key national and state learning goals and standards. It includes engaging activities, music and manipulatives, encourages independent exploration and hands-on, minds-on learning. Through this curriculum your child will be exposed to:

A flexible plan that develops children’s oral language, Phonological Awareness, Letter Recognition, Reading Readiness, Listening Comprehension, Vocabulary, Math Skills and multiple activities that address: Social development, Emotional Development, Physical Development, Science, Social Studies and Art. The curriculum guides teachers’ development and intentional implementation of learning opportunities consistent with the program’s goals and objectives.

The Early Spouts curriculum is a research-based Nutrition and Gardening curriculum for the preschool years. Children will be involved in garden activities including observing and caring for fruits and vegetables throughout their lifecycle, trying new fruits and vegetables and cooking projects. The cooking experience connects the Early Sprouts projects to other curriculum areas, such as math, science, literacy and social skill development.

All curricula allows for adaptions and modifications to ensure access to the curriculum for all children.
