Welcome

Welcome to Creative Minds Learning Center, we are excited to be a neighborhood learning center that focus on the whole child, family and creates a community. We will work to ensure all children will reach their individual potential with an appreciation of the lifelong learning process. We support the premise that learning is challenging, rewarding, and fun. We encourage teachers to provide opportunities for participation in the democratic process and the development of democratic values and ideas. We encourage family and community involvement in support of our school.

Creative Minds Learning Center provides a learning environment that supports children to develop skills necessary to construct their own knowledge, prepare them for their next school environment and encourage them to become lifelong learners. Your child will engage in a curriculum that encourages creative arts, gardening, math, language, science and music.

Creative Minds Learning Center keeps current with best practices in early childhood development. The program uses Developmentally Appropriate Practices to provide a rich learning environment that encourages children’s natural curiosity and supports them to take risks that lead to new skill development.  Creative Minds Learning Center has a safe, supportive and nurturing environment where children feel safe, cared for and respected. Children will take part in planned, active learning experiences to build the skills necessary to excel. Children will participate in activities that build community and support respect for diversity. The program also supports the relationship between children, their families and the preschool staff.

The program provides an innovative curriculum with materials, experiences and teaching methods and strategies that are grounded in the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), including principles of child development, including age and individual appropriateness.

All learning activities are presented through play, creative arts and hands on learning activities. These activities engage the children so they can explore, experiment, imitate, ask questions and be questioned to further their thinking and problem solving skills.
